Kingston Foreshore's latest opening, Molto Italian, describes itself as a "modern seaside trattoria featuring sleek modern interiors". Headed by Carlo Tosolini, of the now-closed Tosolini’s Italian Restaurant, the new kitchen team will focus on the best locally and internationally sourced produce to create a simple yet satisfying menu showcasing classic Italian cuisine.
The Food Avenue contributor Housh Fallah went to the official opening to check out Molto Italian.
Let me say it straight up, Molto Italian gets the thumbs up from me. I hadn't written it off without trying, but initially I wasn't overly enthused because I once went to Tosolini's and was quite underwhelmed with the food.
That's now crossed off with my first experience at Molto Italian.
I was happy to keep eating at the opening party - pizza, zucchini flowers, swordfish with pomegranate, cheese fresh from the wheel, salami. You know, that Italian fare that we like.
I'll definitely be up for a date night there or an evening out with friends to check out what's on the menu.

Housh is the food editor of no magazine. He loves food though and loves to cook, doing his own take of classic Filipino dishes and many other cuisines. Landscape photography is also a passion of his, and on the odd occasion, food photography. Check out his photography on instagram, facebook and twitter.
